IDS @ JCT 2009

Integrated Ducting Systems (IDS) exhibited at the JCT symposium exhibition between 23rd & 24th September. This year’s event was held at the University of Hertfordshire, the first time at this venue.

IDS Access Chambers well received at JCT

The event turned out to be an excellent one for IDS, allowing the team to show off their extensive range of access chambers and covers and frames. IDS have developed and enhanced their range of underground access chambers, including the mark 2 twin wall access chamber system over the last 10 years and have supported the JCT event for almost as long. 

IDS Pole Socket provides innovative new signal pole housing

JCT also enabled IDS to demonstrate their improved range of traffic signal pole sockets. The product range is now available in a variety of depths. The slide show below illustrates easy replacement of a traffic signal pole after a significant impact (70kph). The use of a signal pole housing against a traditional concrete surround enables rapid reinstatement and reduced signal downtime.

For comparison purposes one pole is installed into the IDS Pole Socket and the other directly installed into a concrete base.
